Learn How to Deflect: Bishop Sacrifice
This puzzle shows a classic deflection idea in the opening: a bishop sacrifice pulls the king onto a vulnerable square and strips away its shelter. The position is tactically loaded because Black’s pieces are active around White’s king, and the king’s pawn shield is already weakened. Once the defender is dragged off its post, the remaining attacker can deliver a forcing finish. These are the kinds of patterns that often appear in sharp classical chess and in short mating attacks.
