Learn How to Deflect: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic middlegame attacking pattern where Black uses active pieces to overload the white king’s shelter. The key idea is deflection: a defender is lured away so the king’s position becomes vulnerable to a direct tactical strike. Once the king is pulled into the open, the attack on the h-file becomes especially dangerous because White’s kingside pawns are already weakened and the rook is ready to join the assault. The position rewards forcing play over slow maneuvering.
