Learn How to Attack the King: Mate in 2
This puzzle is a classic middlegame king hunt where White’s pieces coordinate to exploit a weakened king shelter. The key idea is that the queen and bishop work together to create an unavoidable mating net, with forcing checks limiting the defender’s options. Even though Black has extra material, the exposed king and loose back-rank coordination make material count for very little. In classical chess, direct king safety often outweighs static material when the attack is immediate.
