Vienna Game Deflection Chess Puzzles

Vienna Game Deflection is a tactical motif in the Vienna Game where one side uses a forcing move to pull a defending piece or pawn off a critical square. The defining feature is a position from the 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 opening where a defender of e5, f7, or the king’s cover is overloaded and can be deflected. It often appears after White develops quickly and creates threats against the center or king.
