Rossolimo Trapped Piece Chess Puzzles

The Rossolimo Trapped Piece is a tactical motif from the Rossolimo Variation of the Sicilian Defense, usually after 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5. It refers to a piece, most often Black’s knight on c6 or bishop on b5, becoming trapped because the move order and pawn structure limit its escape squares. The defining feature is that a seemingly active piece is left with no safe retreat once White’s pressure is timed correctly.
