Learn How to Spot a Mate in 3: Discovered Attack
This puzzle comes from a Queen's Pawn Game structure where White’s pieces are already aimed at the kingside. The key idea is a discovered attack: one piece moves with tempo, opening a line for another attacker and exposing the king at the same time. Because Black’s kingside pawn shield is weakened, the king has very few safe squares. In positions like this, active pieces near the enemy king can turn a normal middlegame into a forced mating net.
