Learn How to Spot Corner Mate: Kingside Attack
This puzzle shows a classic corner mate pattern in a sharp middlegame. The key idea is that the enemy king has very limited escape squares, while an active knight and queen-side pressure create a direct mating net. Even when the position looks materially balanced or even favorable for one side, a forcing tactical shot can override everything. In classical chess, these patterns often appear when the king is exposed and the defender’s pieces are overloaded or poorly coordinated.
