Learn How to Mate in 1: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic middlegame kingside attack where the defender’s king is exposed and the attacking queen has a direct route to the mating square. White’s position looks active, but the king’s shelter is too loose and the dark-square weaknesses around h2 are fatal. In practical classical chess, these positions reward pattern recognition: when the enemy king lacks escape squares and your queen is already near the king zone, a forcing finish can appear immediately.
