Interference Advanced Puzzle (Rated 1985): Spot a Fork — Tactic
A fork is a tactical move that attacks two or more targets at once, often turning active piece placement into a decisive material gain. In this middlegame position, White must recognize that direct pressure against the king combines with an interference idea and a discovered attack. The key is not simply to chase the queen or capture immediately, but to create threats that restrict the defender and expose a vulnerable piece. Tactical coordination allows White to overcome Black’s material advantage.
