Learn How to Win Material: Pin Sacrifice
This puzzle is a classic middlegame example of using a pin to force a tactical refutation. White’s active bishops and queen create pressure against the black king and key defenders, but the position is also full of hidden tactical resources. The key idea is that a pinned or overloaded piece can become vulnerable to a forcing sacrifice, especially when the opponent’s king and queen are aligned on the same diagonal or file. Once the defender is removed, the follow-up wins material and leaves Black with a decisive advantage.
