Learn How to Mate in 2: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic kingside attack in the English Opening Symmetrical Variation, where the exposed king and loose dark-square control create a forced mating net. Even though White is materially better, the real story is tactical: the black king has very little room, and the queen can coordinate with nearby pieces to deliver a direct finish. Positions like this reward alertness to checks, especially when the opponent’s king is boxed in and key escape squares are covered.
