Learn How to Deflect the King: Kingside Attack

This puzzle is a classic middlegame kingside attack where White uses forcing checks to drag the enemy king away from its shelter. The key strategic idea is deflection: a defender or the king itself is lured onto vulnerable squares so the attack can continue with tempo. Even though Black is up material, the exposed king and loose pieces make the position tactically dangerous. In classical chess, king safety often outweighs material when the attack is direct and coordinated.
