Learn How to Deflect: Crushing Endgame Tactic
This puzzle is a classic example of a crushing deflection in a sharp chess endgame. Black uses a forcing check to drag the white king onto a vulnerable square, then wins the key defender and converts the position with a direct queen attack. Even though White has extra material, king safety and piece coordination decide the game. In classical chess, tactical accuracy often outweighs raw material when the king is exposed and major pieces are active.
