Clearance Advanced Puzzle (Rated 907): Clearance — Check
A clearance tactic occurs when a piece moves away from a critical line, square, or attacking role so another resource becomes possible. In this chess endgame, White is materially behind but can use the queen’s activity to keep the opposing king exposed. The key idea is to value forcing checks and coordination over passive defense. Active queen play can create perpetual-check chances and neutralize Black’s extra bishop and pawn resources.
