Learn How to Deflection Mate: Mate in 2
This puzzle comes from the Alekhine Defense and shows a classic deflection idea in a sharp middlegame. White’s pieces are coordinated around the enemy king, and the key tactical point is that one defender is overloaded by the need to answer a check. Once that defender is pulled away, the remaining line collapses and the king has no escape. In classical chess, these short forcing sequences often decide the game immediately.
