Learn How to Deflect: Tactical Refutation
This puzzle is a strong middlegame example of king-safety pressure turning into a tactical refutation. Black’s pieces coordinate against the white king, and the key idea is to use a forcing check to drag the king into a worse square. Once the king is pulled away from its shelter, the defender’s coordination collapses and a major piece becomes vulnerable. The position rewards accurate calculation, especially when an attacked piece is also part of a skewer or pin-like geometry.
