Mikhail Chigorin (Black) Puzzle: Force Mate — Bishop Pair

This classical chess puzzle shows how king safety can outweigh a huge material deficit. Black’s king has a weakened pawn shield and limited escape squares, while White’s bishop pair points directly into the kingside. The attacking side’s queen can keep checking from safe squares, forcing the king away from its defenders. This is a middlegame mating net: every forcing check narrows the king’s options until the final checkmate arrives.
