Levon Aronian (White) Puzzle: Mate in 3 — Mating Net
This classical chess puzzle is a lesson in exploiting king safety before material. White’s king is boxed in on the queenside by its own pieces and pawns, while Black’s bishop already dominates crucial escape squares. Black’s active queen and rook can then coordinate against the exposed king. The winning idea is not a slow attack: it is a forcing mating net in which every tempo drives the defender closer to a position with no safe square or effective block.
