Isidor Gunsberg (White) Puzzle: Block Promotion — Fork

Pawn promotion can outweigh a material deficit, especially in a sharp chess endgame. A passed pawn near the final rank forces the defender to react, but the strongest method is often not to push immediately. Instead, use tactical pressure to attack the pieces responsible for stopping the pawn. A knight fork is particularly effective because it can check the king while attacking a key defender, creating a forcing sequence that clears the promotion square.
