Garry Kasparov (White) Puzzle: Pin — Tactics
An absolute pin occurs when moving a piece would expose its own king to attack. In this position, the exposed black king and the alignment of major pieces create a powerful skewer: the pinned queen cannot freely escape without violating king safety. White’s extra rook matters, but activity matters even more. A forcing check can restrict the king further, leaving the pinned piece vulnerable and converting a tactical advantage into decisive material gain.
