Dawid Janowski (White) Puzzle: Fork — Knight Tactic
A knight fork is especially powerful when it arrives with check. The check forces the opposing king to react, removing the chance to save another attacked piece. In this middlegame position, Black’s active knight can exploit weak squares around the exposed white king and attack a valuable target at the same time. Although White begins with extra material, tactical activity matters more when a forcing sequence changes which pieces can be defended.
