Amos Burn (White) Puzzle: Defend — Tactics

A strong defensive move does more than stop an opponent’s threat: it can turn the attacker into a target. In this position, White has active major pieces aimed at the exposed black king, but must first address a dangerous enemy unit. The winning idea is a capture that removes the attacker while improving White’s attacking coordination. That dual purpose transforms defense into initiative and leaves Black struggling to meet threats on multiple fronts.
