Learn How to Deflect: Tactical Advantage
This puzzle shows a classic middlegame deflection motif: White uses a forcing check to pull the black king onto a less flexible square, opening lines and loosening key defenders. Even though Black is materially ahead, the king’s safety and piece coordination are fragile. In classical chess, that kind of imbalance often outweighs raw material when the attacking side has active pieces, space, and targets on dark squares around the king.
