Learn How to Win with a Fork: Opening Tactics
This puzzle shows a classic opening tactic where activity matters more than static material. White’s pieces are developed enough to create a forcing sequence against the black king and loose defenders. The key idea is a fork: one piece attacks multiple targets at once, often with check, so the opponent is forced into a narrow response. In classical chess, these motifs frequently appear when the center is still open and kings remain uncastled or underdeveloped.
