Learn How to Win Material: Discovered Attack
This puzzle shows a classic opening tactic where a pinned piece and active minor pieces create a tactical refutation. White’s bishop pressure and piece coordination look dangerous, but Black can exploit the alignment of the white pieces to win material by forcing a sequence of exchanges. The key idea is discovered attack: when one piece moves, it opens a line for another piece to become active with tempo. In the opening, these tactics often punish overextended development.
