Learn How to Win with a Fork: Trompowsky Tactic
This puzzle shows a classic opening tactic where active piece placement creates an immediate fork against the enemy king, queen, and rook. In the Trompowsky Attack, early development and king safety often matter more than material count. When the opponent’s pieces are loosely coordinated and the king is still in the center, a forcing tactical shot can turn a normal middlegame into a winning attack. The key idea is to use tempo, check, and piece activity to overload the defense.
