Smith Morra Gambit Puzzle (Rated 946): Fork — Win Material
An advantage fork is a forcing tactical idea in which one piece creates two or more serious threats at once, often by checking the king while attacking valuable material. In this middlegame position, Black uses a knight to gain tempo against the exposed king and target an undefended bishop. The tactic is especially effective because White’s pieces are poorly coordinated, while the knight on the edge of the board is also vulnerable to a rook capture.
