Learn How to Spot: Discovered Attack
This puzzle shows a classic middlegame tactical idea from the Sicilian Defense: using a discovered attack to create immediate threats against the king and key pieces. The position is especially sharp because the opponent’s king is exposed and one tactical shot forces a response that opens lines for a decisive follow-up. Even when the board looks materially balanced, king safety and piece coordination can outweigh static evaluation and turn a normal-looking position into a winning combination.
