Learn How to Win Material: Hanging Piece Refutation
This puzzle comes from the Richter-Veresov Attack and shows a classic opening tactic based on loose pieces and tactical overload. White has developed actively, but one central piece is hanging and the queen and bishop are vulnerable to a forcing sequence. In classical chess, these positions reward calculation over general principles: when a piece is undefended, tactical refutation often overrides development or king safety concerns. The key idea is to punish the exposed piece before White can recover.
