Learn How to Spot a Hanging Piece: Rapport Jobava System
This puzzle comes from the Rapport Jobava System and shows how quickly an opening can turn tactical when one piece is left hanging. White’s setup looks active, but the king is still in the center and several pieces are loosely coordinated. Black can exploit the tension by attacking an undefended knight and using the queen and bishop alignment to win material with tempo. The key lesson is that in classical chess, development is not enough if tactical targets are available.
