Learn How to Win with a Fork: Richter-Veresov Attack

This puzzle comes from the Richter-Veresov Attack and shows a classic middlegame fork motif. White’s active knight jumps into the enemy camp, creating a forcing check that also attacks key pieces at once. Even though Black has a material edge, the exposed king and loose coordination make tactics more important than static evaluation. In classical chess, these positions often reward activity over material, especially when the opponent’s queen and bishop are vulnerable to a single tactical shot.
