Queen's Gambit Declined Three Knights Variation Puzzle (Rated 1149): Sacrifice — Kingside Attack
This classical chess middlegame is a model of a kingside attack built on piece activity and king safety. White’s rook is already active near the enemy king, and the position contains tactical pressure against the dark squares around Black’s king. The key idea is that a sacrifice can open lines, remove defenders, and force the king into a vulnerable net. Even though Black has extra material, active pieces and direct threats can outweigh static gains.
