Learn How to Pin: Crushing Opening Pin
This puzzle shows how a well-timed pin can turn a middlegame into a tactical refutation. In the Polish Opening, White’s active bishop and queen work together to pressure the black queen and the king at the same time. When a queen is pinned to the king, even a seemingly active piece can become vulnerable to a simple capture or skewer. The key idea is that tactical pressure can outweigh material, especially when the opponent’s king is exposed.
