Learn How to Win Material: Fork Tactic
This puzzle shows a classic opening tactic where one side uses a forcing capture to create a fork and win material. In the opening, development and piece coordination matter more than long-term plans, so tactical accuracy is critical. When a central piece is overextended, it can become vulnerable to a pawn capture that also opens lines and creates threats against multiple pieces at once. In classical chess, these short tactical sequences often decide who keeps the initiative.
