Learn How to Deflect: Queenside Attack
This puzzle is a classic example of a queenside attack built on deflection and attraction. White’s queen and rook coordinate to overload the black king’s defenses, forcing key pieces away from their protective squares. The position is especially tactical because Black’s king is boxed in and the back rank is vulnerable once the defender is lured off its post. Even though Black has extra material, active piece coordination and king safety decide the game.
