Learn How to Win Material: Pin Tactic
This puzzle comes from the Nimzowitsch Defense and shows how a short tactical sequence can turn a middlegame into a winning material edge. White’s pieces are active, but one well-timed pin creates immediate pressure on the black queen and the king’s shelter. The key idea is that a pinned piece can’t move freely, so tactical threats against it become much stronger. In classical chess, these moments often decide the game before any endgame is reached.
