Learn How to Win Material: Decisive Queen Trade
This puzzle is a classic middlegame simplification where tactical accuracy leads to a large material gain. The key idea is to notice when a queen trade is not equal: one side’s pieces are overloaded, and the resulting exchanges expose a vulnerable rook and bishop. In classical chess, these positions often reward the player who sees the forcing sequence first, because the opponent’s active-looking pieces can actually be hanging or pinned.
