Learn How to Win a Pin: Opening Tactics
This puzzle shows a classic opening-to-middlegame pin motif where one active bishop creates immediate pressure on the enemy queen and king line. In the Lion Defense structure, development and king safety matter more than grabbing space blindly. The key idea is that a pinned piece can become tactically overloaded, especially when the pinned unit also guards another important target. Once the defender is tied down, the position can collapse into a winning material sequence rather than a direct attack on the king.
