French Defense Exchange Variation Puzzle (Rated 870): Fork — Win the Queen
The knight fork is one of chess's most reliable ways to turn an edge into a decisive material gain. When the enemy king is exposed and its queen drifts into the center, a single knight jump can give check while attacking a more valuable target. Here Black holds a material plus, but White's superior king safety and the exposed placement of Black's queen change the balance completely: a short forcing sequence wins the queen for a knight, and the game is effectively over.
