French Defense Exchange Variation Puzzle (Rated 1025): Refute a Fork

This puzzle from the French Defense Exchange Variation is a classic middlegame lesson in spotting a cheapo. Black's knight jumps deep into White's position to land a fork, attacking two targets from a square no pawn can challenge. But a fork is only strong if the forking piece is well defended. Here the knight's lone defender is a bishop with limited scope, so the activity is an illusion. White's tactical refutation captures the knight; when the defender recaptures, it is itself hanging, and the follow-up wins a decisive material advantage.
