French Defense Exchange Variation Puzzle (Rated 914): Win a Queen — Refuted
Black has just driven a queen deep into White's position, forking two minor pieces at once. When an opponent forks you, the instinct is to retreat, but the strongest reply is often a tactical refutation: a forcing, tempo-gaining check on the kingside that drags a defender out of position while unmasking White's own attack on the black queen. The piece that looked pinned and about to be lost is offered instead, and the skirmish ends with White winning decisive material from a position that looked uncomfortable.
