Learn How to Win the Englund Gambit: Kingside Attack
This puzzle comes from the Englund Gambit and shows how quickly the opening can turn into a kingside attack when one side’s king is still vulnerable. Black uses active piece placement to create forcing threats against White’s king and loose pieces. The key idea is that in the opening, initiative can outweigh static material if the opponent’s king safety is compromised and tactical targets are lined up on open files and diagonals.
