This puzzle comes from the Englund Gambit Complex and shows a classic opening tactic where king safety outweighs material balance. White’s pieces are active, but Black’s exposed king and loose coordination create a forcing sequence that wins material. The key idea is to use a forcing capture to drag defenders away, then continue with a second capture that removes the last shield. In sharp classical chess positions, active pieces and an unsafe king can decide the game quickly.
