Learn How to Win Material: Elephant Gambit Tactic
This puzzle comes from the Elephant Gambit and shows a very common opening lesson: when one side overextends, tactical punishment often comes through forcing moves. White’s advanced center and active bishop look impressive, but Black can exploit the loose coordination around the king and the pinned piece on the e-file. In classical chess, these positions reward calculation over general plans, because a single tactical shot can flip the evaluation from better for White to decisive for Black.
