Learn How to Win With a Fork: Caro-Kann Tactic
This opening puzzle shows how a single forcing check can expose loose pieces and create a tactical fork. In the Caro-Kann Defense, development and piece coordination matter more than grabbing material too early. When the opponent’s knight jumps into your camp, it may look active, but if it is overextended, a check can force the king or queen into a bad square and leave the knight vulnerable. The key idea is to use tempo, not just material counting, to turn an active enemy piece into a tactical target.
