Learn How to Fork: Crushing Tactic
This puzzle shows a classic opening tactic where a knight jump creates a crushing fork and wins material by forcing the opponent’s king into an awkward response. In the Caro-Kann Advance Variation, active piece placement and tactical awareness matter more than slow development. White’s knight becomes the key attacker because it hits multiple targets at once, turning a seemingly balanced middlegame into a decisive material gain. The idea is to use forcing moves to exploit loose pieces and poor coordination.
