Learn How to Win by Skewer: Benoni Gambit
This Benoni Defense puzzle shows how a seemingly active attacking move can also create a short skewer against the king and a valuable piece behind it. In the middlegame, Black’s pieces are ideally placed to exploit White’s exposed king and loose coordination. The key idea is that a forcing check can drive the king onto a vulnerable square, allowing the bishop to line up the king and an undefended target on the same diagonal. That combination turns initiative into material gain.
