Learn How to Win Kingside: Discovered Attack
This puzzle comes from the Alekhine Defense and shows how a kingside attack can be built from a discovered attack and a forcing check. White’s pieces are coordinated around the enemy king, while Black’s king safety is already weakened by pawn structure and loose defenders. The key idea is to use a tactical shot that opens lines, removes a defender, and creates a direct threat against the king. In classical chess, these motifs often decide the game quickly in the middlegame.
