Learn How to Win Material: Kingside Attack
This puzzle comes from the Alekhine Defense, Scandinavian Variation, where White’s attack is built around king safety and piece coordination. The key idea is to exploit the weakened dark squares around the black king and the loose coordination of Black’s kingside defenders. A forcing tactical sequence wins material by removing a key defender and then using a check to keep the initiative. In classical chess, these patterns often appear when a fianchettoed king is under pressure and one piece is overloaded.
