Learn How to Checkmate: Bishop and Knight
This middlegame puzzle shows a classic attacking pattern against an exposed king. White’s pieces are active, the bishop and knight coordinate well, and the black king has very limited shelter. In positions like this, the key is to look for forcing moves that create immediate mate threats on the king’s weak squares. The board also shows a tactical imbalance: Black’s extra material is irrelevant if the king cannot escape the mating net.
